A marble walk-in with the floor doing the hard work
Carrara marble walk-in shower with a built-in niche, a tiled bench and a small mosaic floor falling to a centre drain.
Large marble panels on the walls and small mosaic on the floor is not a decorative choice, it is a functional one: a floor has to fall to the drain from every direction, and only a small tile can follow that slope without lipping at the edges. The niche is set between studs so it costs no floor area, and the bench is tiled as part of the enclosure rather than added to it. The glass panel is fixed rather than hinged, so there is no seal along a moving edge to fail.

What to look at, and why it was done that way.
-
01
Small tile on the floor, large on the walls
The mosaic can follow the fall to the drain from all four sides. A large tile cannot do that without lipping.
-
02
The niche costs no space
Set into the depth between studs, so it takes nothing off the footprint of an already tight room.
